Electrocution fears prompts Nokia charger recall

Cellphone giant Nokia is recalling 14 milion phone chargers because of a possible risk of electric shock.

The following charger models, which have been sold in the US and Europe, form part of the recall:

  • AC-3E (manufactured by BYD between June 15, 2009 and August 9, 2009)
  • AC-3U (manufactured by BYD between June 15, 2009 and August 9, 2009)
  • AC-4U (manufactured by BYD between April 13, 2009 and October 25, 2009)
