Boring sport of soccer ("futbol") goes broadband for WorldCup
OK, call me a Troll if you wish. I call myself a sports fan who gets no kicks out of 1-1 matches where pretty much every attempt at scoring is doomed to failure. Give me real football.
But with the World Cup starting this weekend, I realize I am in the minority. For many people around the world with broadband Internet access and an inexplicable love for this dreary (not "beautiful") game, it is a good time indeed.
Yahoo!’s World Cup section would be another choice, but mainly for streaming video highlights. I show you that at the top of this post.
ESPN360 is your best choice for live World Cup games. Unfortunately, Comcast and Time Warner Cable don’t carry this network. But pretty much every other broadband provider does.
BBC has a video archive and virtual replay. Actually looks pretty cool:
