While other VoIP providers are trying to figure out E-911, Packet8 is actually doing something about it. That’s because Packet 8 has technology in place that automatically routes emergency calls and provides visual "screen pops" of caller information to emergency personnel stationed at E911 dispatch centers.

TMCnet.comreports that Packet8 has just added 660 rate centers for E911 service. These new markets include Dallas, Louisville, Memphis, Flagstaff and Spokane.

Packet 8 now has 1,607 E-911 rate centers - or localities in which E-911 works.

By the way, I’ve tried Packet 8. For ease of setup, quality of call and user friendliness, there’s none better.

I’d be interested in feedback from Packet 8 subscribers. If you are one, let us know how you are doing by posting a TalkBack.
