Have you ever wondered what will happen to the widely praised AT&T CallVantage service once the proposed merger with SBC Communications goes thru?

Apparently, the offering will remain in place. That’s according to a statement released today by AT&T. The statement both quoted and paraphrased CEO David Dorman’s remarks today during his keynote address to the American Enterprise Institute.

According to the statement:

"Dorman added that AT&Ts residential Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service, AT&T CallVantage, would remain an important component of the combined AT&T-SBC consumer bundle, helping drive broadband adoption rates while adding to the list of services where the Bells compete in each other’s regions."

Would you consider signing up for CallVantage? What have you heard from others who use the service? Post a TalkBack.
