Cisco posts workaround for IP phone DoS vulnerabilities

If you have a Cisco 7902, 7905 or 7912 IP Phone, or a Cisco 186 or 188 Analog Terminal Adapter, you’ll want to be aware that according to the company, some Domain Name System (implementations may be vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack after receiving and processing a specially crafted DNS packet via these devices.

Cisco has a variety of fixes and workarounds already available. More are in the pipeline.
