In the January, 2006 issue of Linux Journal, there’s an article entitled "Build A Skype Server for Your Home Phone System."

Written by experienced Skype developer Andrew Sheppard, the piece (currently available online only to Linux Journal subscribers - is a step-by-step guide to:

Setting Up Linux to work with Skype (15 steps) and installing Your Skype Server (9 steps).

Andrew knows his stuff, by the way. He’s the author of the book Skype Hacks, published by O’Reilly, and is the editor of Elpis Skype Power User Magazine.
