Vonage building up at-home installation network

Somehow this news flew under my radar but Vonage is gearing up to offer an extensive, in-home installation and repair service.

The service, which I predict will be quite popular among new Vonage users is currently available only in the close-in parts of the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.

Vonage, though, says the in-person service - provided  by authorized service reps rather than Vonage employees- should be in 50 metro areas this summer.

If Vonage is going to compete with the bundled VoIP offerings of the truck-to-your-home cable and telecom giants, they not only need to provide this service, but ride herd to make sure it is done well.
