Google visitor growth outpaced by Wikipedia, MySpace

Internet traffic reports measuring the top U.S. Internet properties by unique visitors show triple digit growth for Wikipedia Sites and Myspace.com, year over year, while Google visitor growth year over year was 28%.

John Battelle’s Searchblog points to research prepared by ComScore Networks and FactSet, and presented by PiperJaffray:

May 05-May 06 Top Year over Year Growth by Unique Visitors

  1. Wikipedia Sites: 302%
  2. Myspace.com: 230%
  3. Adobe Sites: 118%
  4. Apple Computer: 80%
  5. United Online: 70%

May 05-May 06 Year over Year Growth by Unique Visitors for:

  • Google Sites: 28%
  • Ask Network: 26%
  • eBay: 21%
  • Yahoo Sites: 9%
  • MSN-Microsoft Sites: 8%
