TechCrunch goes to Bed in NYC

I was in Bed with Michael Arrington tonight, along with several hundred NYC techies, entrepreneurs, and VCs.

Arrington hosted his first NYC TechCrunch meetup in Manhattan, at the Bed Lounge in Chelsea. The liquor was flowing, the hors d'oeuvres were passed, and enthusiastic sponsors demoed their Web properties to slightly soaked New Yorkers.

Inclement weather may have deterred some east coast TechCrunchers from sojurning downtown, but the hardy souls that braved the downpours partied on.

The get together was professional and polished, much tamer than the daily fare dished out at TechCrunch.com and I had the opportunity to chat with Michael.

I also got the latest updates from start-ups I have recently profiled at this Digital Micro-Markets Blog–Eurekster, Helium, Genius.com–and news from new ventures in the video and social networking spaces.
