Who will be Microsoft's next top evangelist?

Microsoft is snapping up some off-the-beaten-path hires, as of late.

The latest to join The Empire: Former Jupiter Research analyst Michael Gartenberg. In his new role at Microsoft, Gartenberg will be "an enthusiast evangelist." This new group of individuals is charged with doing "outreach to users" and creating new content for Microsoft's Channel 10, according to Microsoft Technical Evangelist Jeff Sandquist.

(Thanks to former Softie Robert Scoble for the heads-up on Gartenberg. Here's Gartenberg's own  posting on his new Microsoft gig.)

Sandquist also recently hired former Infoworld writer and analyst Jon Udell to be an evangelist on his team.

All this has me wondering who's next.
