Vista-compatible Visual Studio refresh ships
The Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack (SP) 1 update for Windows Vista is out, as of March 6.
The VS 2005 SP1 refresh is available for download on the Microsoft download site.
The SP refresh is an update to Visual Studio 2005 SP1, which Microsoft released in December. Microsoft executives warned developers in late September that Visual Studio 2005 SP1 might have some Vista compatibility problems. They were right. They also noted that they decided to get SP1 out the door and later provide a refresh to address Vista compatibility issues.
So another Microsoft app gets the "works with Vista" nod. Unfortunately, the same still can't be said of a number of other third-party-developed apps and drivers that still don't work with Windows Vista.
