"The Butterfly group has been involved in beta testing MSN and Windows Live products for a number of years. Rather than continue the program as something only focused on beta testing, we’re offering the group a variety of options to engage in the broader Windows Live community, including the opportunity to join the MVP (Most Valuable Professional) program and continued and future access to beta testing opportunities."Wikipedia's already been updated to reflect the demise of the Butterfly program, noting it was closed in June 2009. Update: I see a number of folks noting on Facebook and Twitter that they received their MVP renewal notices from Microsoft today, the first day of Microsoft's fiscal 2010. I wonder if any former Butterflies will be among the 2010 MVP crew.
