Nokia N78 North American version now available
I have been checking out the European version of the Nokia N78 and am quite impressed with the device. I recieved a note that the North American 3G-enabled version of the N78 is now available at the Nokia Flagship stores in New York and Chicago or via other retailers shown on the Nseries website for a retail price of US$560. It doesn’t yet appear on the Nokia USA website for online purchase so that will keep me from running out and buying one right now.
The North American Nokia N78 supports quad-band GSM and 850/1900 MHz HSDPA networks here in the U.S. It comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, integrated Bluetooth and WiFi radios, integrated GPS receiver (with 3 month of free voice navigation services), a cool FM transmitter, and microSD card slot. The N78 is also a S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 device so it supports Web Runtime technology and has other improvements in the UI. They keypad is a bit different and takes some getting used to, but I am very fast with it now.
