AT&T free WiFi access offer to iPhone owners is up againWe have seen the on and off saga of free WiFi at AT&T hotspots for a couple of months now and it looks like iPhone users may again have access to free WiFi at AT&T locations, such as Starbucks. There doesn’t seem to be any time limit on access either, like the 2 hours/day that applies to those using a Starbucks card.

I am on a short beach getaway with my daughters so I don’t have access to an AT&T hotspot to verify the service myself. Free access to Starbucks, where one can be found on just about every block in Seattle, may actually convince me to stay with my original iPhone. At this time, I don’t have a choice anyways as there are no iPhone 3G units available in Washington State to purchase even if I wanted one.

Thanks to Gear Diary for the heads-up.

UPDATE: Wow, AT&T clearly stated on their site that the access was for iPhone owners (check the screenshot that I too saw on Gear Diary), but again pulled down the page. OK, even if they give access yet again I will not post on this subject ever again since AT&T is just being stupid about whether or not they are offering this service. Thanks to Kevin for this last update.
