I am a big fan of the Slingbox and the mobile Sling Player clients and now that we are seeing more and more S60 devices with WiFi and high resolution displays I have been hoping for a mobile client. According to the photo above, posted by Engadget, of the new Slingbox packages there is a Symbian label on them. In my chats with Sling Media representatives I understand that the Symbian client is definitely in the works and should hopefully be out before the end of they year. It also seems there was a black stick placed over the Palm label on the packaging and Engadget confirmed that a Palm OS or ALP client is under development. With fewer and fewer Palm OS devices being released and none with WiFi since that Tx release I don't think Sling really needs to make the Palm client a priority. With their expansion all over the world a Symbian client makes more sense since Symbian dominates most of the world, outside the U.S., and most of their new high end devices have WiFi or at least 3G radios.
