FCC approves Samsung i607 WM Smartphone
Credit: Phone Scoop
Last week at the Mobius Boston event, my full coverage will be posted on Geek.com soon, Microsoft and Samsung gave each of us a Samsung SGH-i320 Windows Mobile Smartphone. I'll be posting an image gallery and my full thoughts on the device within the next couple of days. I have been using the Samsung i320 for the entire week since I received it and love the size and functionality. There are a couple of minor things I would change to improve the device and according to Phone Scoop it looks like the Samsung i607 coming soon to Cingular gets it right. The i607 has the same basic form factor and design as the i320, but includes quad band and dual band HSDPA radios and a scroll wheel like the Motorola Q. The camera also looks different and sticks out the back of the device farther than the one on the i320. The i320 is a triband phone so it can't be used by Cingular customers in the United States. With this and the upcoming HSDPA model Cingular 8525 (same form factor as the HTC TyTN I reviewed) it looks like Cingular is going to have a great kickoff of high powered HSDPA phones before the holidays. T-Moible where is your 3G network and devices?
