Engadget just posted a ton of suggestions for Palm and Ed Colligan just responded to the article on the Official Palm Blog. Mr. Colligan did state that many points are right on and that Palm was attacking almost every challenge. He also stated that:

Let’s remember that it is very early in the evolution of the smartphone and there is enormous opportunity for us to innovate. We have only just begun to fight!

While it may be early in the evolution of the smartphone, every other platform (Windows Mobile, S60, RIM) can say the same thing, yet they are innovating and appealing to the tech-minded consumer. As a person who started using Palm devices back in 1997, I strongly desire for Palm to succeed and thrive and offer some good competition to the others, but so far I just don’t see it. Let’s see how the rest of 2007 goes.
