Run Palm applications on your S60 or UIQ deviceI started using PDAs with the Pilot 1000 back in 1997 and there are still a few Palm OS applications that I find very useful that are not found in Windows Mobile or Symbian. One example of a program I use for my marine salvage work is Tide Tool that gives me tidal data around the world in both table and graphical formats. I was very pleased to read today on the StyleTap blog that StyleTap CrossPlatform for Symbian OS will be released in early 2008. I have tried StyleTap on Windows Mobile devices and it works brilliantly with Palm OS applications.

StyleTap CrossPlatform will all you to run most Palm OS applications on Symbian UIQ and S60 3rd Edition devices. There are already tons of apps for these platforms, but extending functionality into the thousands of apps for the Palm OS is nice to see. There are fewer and fewer Palm OS devices running today, but as I mentioned earlier there are still some applications that are only available in the Palm OS environment and by opening up the ability to use these apps on Symbian and Windows Mobile devices StyleTap is making it easier for users to upgrade to the latest and greatest devices.
