Verizon Wireless XV6800Verizon Wireless usually leads the race in launching the latest and greatest CDMA version of mobile devices, but for some reason the successor the the XV6700 has been in queue for a few months compared to the mid-summer launch of the HTC Mogul. Today, Verizon Wireless announced the XV6800 Windows Mobile 6 Professional (touch screen) device. Check out the excellent review of the HTC Mogul/PPC-6800 at MobileTechReview to see what to expect in the Verizon XV6800.

The XV6800 has the newest design HTC keyboard (which is very good), integrated 802.11 b/g WiFi, integrated Bluetooth 2.0, EV-DO, 2 megapixel camera, and more. In comparison to the AT&T Tilt (see my first impressions), this device does not have an integrated GPS receiver. The online specs also state it only has 64 MB RAM, which can be quite limiting on a Professional device and I hope this is just a typo for a new product page.

It is available online now at their online store. The press release states it is priced at US$449.99 after a US$50 mail-in rebate and new two-year agreement, but the online store shows it as US$399.99 after a US$100 online discount with an additional US$50 mail-in rebate saving you more.
