I was unable to get connected at all yesterday since I was in meetings most of the day and the WiFi at the hotel and on the show floor is virtually non-existent. There is so much happening here and I will try to catch you up as fast as I can. I just purchased a couple of Yoigo SIM cards that should give me unlimited wireless data access so I should be able to catch up soon. I am typing up all of my posts on a very small keyboard found on my new Fujitsu U810 UMPC device and will connect to the N95 to upload. I am also shooting several videos using the N95 that I will post with thoughts on different devices that I am trying here on the show floor.

Microsoft aquires Danger Inc.One interesting announcement is the purchase of Danger, Inc. by Microsoft. The T-Mobile Sidekick was one of the first super data devices I owned several years ago and I did not expect this announcement at all. It seemed like Danger had a good market with the Sidekick brand and T-Mobile. The Sidekick are targeted to the young and hip crowd, which is not something you usually associate with Windows Mobile. It looks like Microsoft may be serious about trying to make Windows Mobile more consumer-friendly and expand beyond its enterprise-focus. Hopefully, Microsoft works well with the Danger folks to bring about a solution that can be as compelling to people as the Sidekick and it will definitely be something interesting to keep an eye on in the future. Can Microsoft make Windows Mobile more hip or are we seeing the end of the Sidekick?
