Firefox 3.5 team aims for RC2
The Mozilla team is expected to complete build 2 of Firefox 3.5 Release Candidate 1 in the next 24 hours but it may not see the light of day.
That is, the team is zeroing in on a Release Candidate 2 (RC2) for public consumption before the final product is delivered, said developers during the team’s weekly meeting today.
But based on today’s discussion, all plans seem fluid. RC1, it seems, will be tested internally only. There appears to be only two major blocker bugs affecting the release schedule, but the public won’t get to test the code until RC2 is finished.
