Phil Fersht is an acknowledged and well-recognized industry analyst and advisor across Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and IT services worldwide, having lived and worked extensively in Europe, North America and Asia as an advisor, consultant and industry analyst in Business Process Outsourcing and offshoring (F&A, Procurement and HR), IT outsourcing and offshoring management services for 13 years. During this time, Fersht has served as an advisor on over 40 outsourcing engagements and has a vast network of senior executives within both supplier and buy-side organizations.

Phil has previously served as a senior executive for Deloitte Consulting’s outsourcing advisory services, where he led numerous outsourcing and offshoring advisory engagements with FORTUNE 500 enterprises.  Prior to Deloitte, Philip performed a dual senior consultant/analyst role for Everest Group, an outsourcing advisory and strategy firm, serving as Vice President, BPO Practice, leading three research and consulting teams based in North America and India.

Prior experience involved serving as Vice President, Global IT Services and Outsourcing, for Yankee Group, a leading research firm in the telecom and IT industry; leading regional Asia/Pacific consulting and research practices for analyst firm IDC, and serving as consulting Director for IDC’s global software and services practice, based in North America.

Philip is also a frequent author and speaker on Finance & Accounting, IT and HR Outsourcing trends and issues.  He was named both an “FAO” and “HRO Superstar” by FAOToday and HROToday Magazines for 2005, 2006 and 2007 and was featured as the cover story for the December 2006 issue of FAOToday as the FAO Industry’s most high-profile and prominent advisor and analyst.  He speaks regular at industry conferences, which have included the Conference Board, the Sourcing Interests Group, Finance Transformation (SBPOA) and IDC Directions.

Philip received a Bachelor of Science, with Honors in European Business & Technology from Coventry University, United Kingdom and a  Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie in Business & Technology from the University of Grenoble, France.
