Boxee, the popular multimedia center application for Apple TV, Mac OS X and Linux now has released an Alpha for Windows. Currently, you need to receive an invite in order to test it, but the application shows a great deal of promise and should garner a much larger audience once the application is available for wide beta test. I was impressed with its video quality and its performance on even a modest Windows XP Core Duo system (an older ThinkPad T61) with 2GB of RAM.
