Session description: We all face difficult decisions as we learn to cope in this new economic reality. To adapt successfully, we must be prepared to ask tough questions of the organizations for which we work and of ourselves. What do I need to do to keep the economic engine running? Beyond that, where am I likely to incur undue risk and how can I minimize those exposures? It would be unfortunate for IT to survive the downturn only to discover that our ongoing viability is threatened. This IT failures town hall discussion will focus on hard questions for difficult times.

Discussion initiator: Jonathan Yarmis is an independent analyst who’s covered enterprise software, technology, and IT for firms such as AMR Research and Gartner. Jonathan is also a frequent and highly in-demand conference speaker.
