North Korea’s leader. Kim Jong Il, has proclaimed himself an “Internet expert,” according to the Associated Press. North Korea is essentially disconnected from the public Internet, bringing the irony of this statement into the realm of the absurd. For more information on North Korea’s relationship with the Internet, see The Economist.

North Korea’s steps toward the Internet remind us of the most effective way to avoid project failure: don’t start any projects. You can’t fail when you never begin.
