It's all virtual

I'll be moderating a couple of sessions at this week's "SOA in Action" conference, which starts tomorrow and lasts through Thursday. (Free membership registration required.)

True to the virtualization spirit of SOA, this is truly a "virtual" conference being put on by ebizQ. No wandering around Javits or Moscone Centers looking for room number "1E-21," and then having to stand squeezed by the back door.

All sessions are online, but will start and end at specific times. (And of course will be archived.) You are free to browse around and check out the lineup of speakers and sessions, which include Gartner's Roy Schulte, Forrester's Ken Vollmer, ebizQ's Beth Gold-Bernstein, Progress Software's Dave Chappell, and yours truly.

Conference topics will include "Integration as a Service (IaaS)," an ESB panel discussion, governance, and the relationship between SOA and BPM.

On Wednesday, I'll be joining Jim Garcia of Enporion and Jared Rodriguez of Skyway Software in a discussion of how Enporion was able to employ an incremental approach to build an SOA that made its services accessible to outside partners. Then on Thursday, I'll be joining Software AG's John Fitzgerald for a presentation on "Managing the SOA Lifecycle."
