The TF plot thickens.
The depth to the Trojan Fiasco in Israel is beginning to have repercussions. How about this: Bezeq, the state run telecom had just completed the sale of a large chunk of the company to private industry. Well, not quite “completed. The winning bidder has asked for indemnification from prosecution over the Trojan Fiasco (TF) if they are going to consummate the acquisition. Meanwhile, the loser of the bidding has asked for the sale to be re-opened in light of this new situation. Both parties site the fact that law enforcement knew about the TF incident while the government was in the process of selling Bezaq.
I love this quote from Bill Goodwin’s great report out of the UK:
The full extent of the industrial spying operation has yet to be discovered, Peal Liat, superintendent at Tel Aviv police headquarters, told Computer Weekly.
“Right now it is a very sophisticated investigation. We have something like 150 different computers that were taken by the investigators. Every computer they open, they discover more. Every day it gets us more companies that ordered the information and more companies that were infected,” she said.
Stay tuned as the penetralia of this incident are exposed around the globe.
