I see that SafEnd just took in $7.4 million in a second round of funding. Safend has a very cool enterprise product that can alert you when a USB device is attached to an endpoint. You can even set policy about what types of devices can attach where. I wonder if they hear from pundits that their capability should be a feature of an anti-virus product? After all it is a desk top agent and there are too many of those, right?

Another product in this space is DeviceWall. This product is from Centennial Software in the UK. They got their start in asset management in the Y2K era. Centennial is based in the UK.
