Microsoft's Powerset hosts Lunch 2.0
San Francisco’s summer starts when the rest of the country’s summer ends: Labor Day. The weather here in The City finally becomes pleasant, and techy companies like to have lunches outdoors.
Today, Powerset was in charge of Lunch 2.0, a “social phenomenon referring to a migration of web 2.0 company employees to other offices around the Silicon Valley area”.
The Powerset building is located at 475 Brannan, which has a beautiful art display when you walk in:
I got a chance to talk with Mark Johnson, a senior program manager. He said that Microsoft was slowing integrating Powerset search into Live.com search. “Microsoft has a lot of resources and they are dedicating them to search,” he said.
The schwag of the day was tequila shot glasses with the Microsoft and Powerset logos. The only kicker was that you had to take a shot:
